This study was aimed to investigate the influence of 5-inosine monophosphate (IMP) and 5-guanosine monophosphate (GMP) on the growth, immunity and muscle composition of S. maximus.
● Animals: Turbot (S. maximus ), Initial body weight 105 g 360 fish (8 treatments 3 replicates 15 fish/tank)
● Conditions: 100 L tank, DO > 5 mg/L, Salinity 302, Temp. 152oC, Period 60 days
● Parameters: Growth performances, Proximate compositions
● Experiment design
The highest growth was observed in dietary IMP 1.0 g/kg (C) and IMP + GMP 1.0g/kg (H) groups (Fig. 1.).
Significantly higher lipid accumulation rates were observed in IMP 0.5-1.0 g/kg (B, C) and IMP+ GMP 1.0 g/kg (H) groups (Table 2).
The present study showed that the dietary supplementation with IMP or IMP + GMP positively influenced the growth performance and muscle composition of S. maximus.
The optimal proportion of dietary IMP and IMP + GMP 1.0 g/kg, which is correlated with the optimal growth performance in S. maximus.
